The procedure
Write
A letter about the day, or the year. Plain words are best.
Agree
Terms on one page. A date in the ledger.
Attend
One photographer, quiet shoes, no flash, no directions given.
Bind
Prints and a bound volume within eight weeks. The record is yours.
Common questions
Would you shoot some of it in color?
No. It's the one thing we're inflexible about, and the reason you're here.
Do you take portrait requests during the day?
We'll stand your families together once, briefly, for the record. Everything else is as it happens.
How are the photographs delivered?
Printed and bound, plus a private archive online. Paper first, always.
